From how to remove the old washing machine to installing the new one. Includes water pipe connections, drainage and electrics. Today I'm gonna show you how to change, remove, and put in a new washing machine just in case yours has decided to go mental like this one here that, when on a 1600 rpm spin, decided to completely rip itself from it's moorings and destroy this piece next to it which is the dishwasher and also the wall just there. So, let's have a look at how it's done and hopefully you'll be able to do it yourself at the end of the video. Let's go! Firstly, remove everything that's actually in the drum before you carry on. So when you're changing a washing machine, there's usually about four things you need to think about. Firstly, the electrics, the hot and cold feed if it does have a hot and a cold feed, a lot of them now just have a cold feed, and the waste. So what we need to do is pull out these units first and see what we've got behind there so we know that we've got all those components where we need them. And while we're here, you can actually see the extent of the damage that this drum has done to this particular washing machine. So if we have a look at the back of the washing machine, we can see, just here, this is the isolating valve, the cold supply to the washing machine so we turn that off, that goes up to there, and we see this flexible hose here that goes into the waste. So you pull that out and then we've got the electric wire here that goes under there so we turn that off and pull that out as well. So that's just switched off and you just undo this here. Alright so we've got the new washing machine here, remove all the packaging. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when it comes to actually removing the polystyrene and any of the packaging 'cause sometimes, and on the bottom you'll have like a polystyrene bit a housing that goes into the inside of the washing machine, make sure you take that out. If it's not there, obviously, big and large. Next thing you do is take off the carriage bolts at the back. The manufacturers always have different instructions for doing this but make sure you do it, always read the instructions. So that's the next thing we're gonna do now. On this one here, it's these but they're different on lots of different types of washing machines. So nice and easily remove those before you continue to the next step. Usually you remove the screw and the hole plug. Once you've taken the travel bolts out of the washing machine, come round the front and you'll usually find all the gubbins inside. On the inlet to the washing machine you'll find this small filter here. This can be removed and cleaned later on if you find that it ever gets clogged up so that's quite handy to know. This angled hose is for the cold water supply in. As you can see it's got a small rubber seal just round here and that just screws on on there just like that, nice and tight. If you want you can knit that up with a set of grips. Alright, the other end of that hose just screws in here and seals in exactly the same way. Now's a good time just to turn everything on and pressure test all your joints. Lovely. Right, next up, we've got the waste. Now the waste can have it's own little u-bend and you're can attach this to the wall so it's still got a drop, 'cause these do need a drop. It'll stops smell coming back and horrible stuff happening to your clothes. And then we'll just clip in nicely around here just like so, lovely. And then all you do is just feed that pipe down the down pipe of the waste. Now all you'd need to do is plug the washing machine in but don't switch it on just yet 'cause some washing machines, depending on what ground they're on, have little stabilising feet that you can adjust. Usually the two back feet stay at the same height and just move up and down, and the two front feet are the ones you actually adjust if you've got sort of an unlevel piece of ground. So now we've got it all pushed back into place and levelled off, what I often recommend is you put it on for a cycle without any washing in it and sometimes without detergent in it if you really feel that that's something you wanna do, just to give it a wash out before you actually put any of your own clothes in there. I hope you've found today's video helpful. I hope, you know, we've covered everything that you wanted us to cover. If you think there's something we've missed out, just let us know through our website, through Twitter, through Facebook, through the channel, anything, just give us love. I hope to see you all soon and I'll see you in next week's video. Hold tight! Plubmerparts.co.uk: honest reviews and advice.

Laughing Historically is a fun educational web show that’s teacher/classroom friendly and great for kids of all ages! --- Terms: Ancient Rome - a civilization that began on the Italian peninsula in 8th century BC, lasting until 476 AD. It expanded to be one of the largest empires in history. Medieval Ages - In European history lasted from the 5th to the 15th century beginning with the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and merged with the Renaissance. Toilet - a sanitation fixture used for the disposal of human urine and feces. Chamber Pots - a bowl shaped container, often with a lid, kept in the bedroom and used as a toilet at night. River Thames - a river that flows through southern England, including London. Elizabeth I of England - 1533-1603 - was Queen of England from 1558 until her death. Sometimes called The Virgin Queen or Good Queen Bess, was the final monarch of the Tudor dynasty. Daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn, her reign is known as The Elizabethan Era. --- SCRIPT: It is a truth universally acknowledged, that everybody In history pooped. In ancient times, the Romans built public underground sewer systems, which not only carried waste, but also drinking water, so It paid to be up stream. The romans used large, divider-free public restrooms - some with up to 50 toilets. Many people read prayers and protection spells to keep them safe from demons, rats biting their bums, or open flames that could flare up from methane pockets. In the middle ages, where you pooped largely depended on your class. Lower class people pooped in chamber pots - aka jerry, guzunder, a po, thunder pot… If you were really poor, a bucket. In medieval London it was illegal to empty these out the window (not that that stopped many people). Most people carried their full chamber pots to a nearby stream or river and emptied it there. Larger houses had attached latrines which drained into cess-pits which were emptied by men called “gongfermours” or “gong farmers.” who would then carry the waste to the streams and rivers. The Gong Farmers of London would end their shift bathing in the River Thames, which was probably only slightly cleaner than themselves - at least they were well-paid. For the top of the Pooping-ladder, Castles featured rooms called Garderobes, which had literally a seat with a hole to the outside cut into it. Poop would drop right into the castle moat. When the tide was low, it would pile up above the water until it was flushed away into the river. Which was also drinking water. The word garderobe is french for Wardrobe. People would hang their clothes in these rooms, as the fleas and moths didn’t like the smell. There was a job called “The Groom of the King’s Stool,” whose job was to wipe the king’s bum when he was finished pooping. Naturally, this was a job of honor and only princes or boys of royalty were allowed to do it. With all this poop being throw around, you can imagine the smell literally everywhere. If you can’t, think about this, Archaeologists have found medieval poop and it still stinks to this day. This past year they even found several 700 year old barrels unearthed in Denmark in the Werner’s Square. Boy, do we stink Brandon. Finally, in 1596, a man named John Harrington, who was actually an English poet, invented a flushing toilet for Queen Elizabeth the first. But it was so loud it scared her from using it. It did, however, become popular to call this new invention after it’s creator, John. By the 1850s over 400,000 tonnes of sewage were flushed into the River Thames each day - around 150 million tonnes of poo a year. Eventually, in the 1880’s, a man came along who invented the ballcock and many other patents, which helped silence the scary flushing toilet, leading to its widespread adoption… his name? Thomas Crapper. FUN FACT: The US Navy has developed a way to vaporize on their vessels. The technology has been installed on their newest aircraft carrier the Gerald Ford Aircarft Carrier because he was a real stinky President.

Robert is devoted full time to developing inventions, writing and applying for patents on a wood-working system, a windmill, a rotary conversion device and a steam engine (six patents). Here he shares his idea about how the Electrical Grid and be replaced with a simple steam engine, that not only creates clean energy but saves dramatically on energy waste. At age 15, he hitchhiked to Chicago to begin a new life on his own. Mechanical skills learned on the farm provided the means to stay off the streets and utilize that knowledge. In 1964 he founded Turin Bicycle Company with smoke-damaged bicycles he obtained from a warehouse fire. The business flourished and Robert sold it the following year. The next few years were spent traveling and living in Europe. After returning to the US, he started a new business- Green Construction Company. With industrial machinery purchased from failed factories, Robert created custom cabinetry, furniture and architectural pieces as well as sculpture. He learned many new skills and became professional in carpentry, joinery/cabinetry, furniture design electrical, plumbing, machining, mechanics, metal casting, jewelry making, masonry, tile setting, welding, fine art (sculpting, painting, drafting, cartooning and drawing) as well as mechanical engineering, patent writing, and business management. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Its wide range of fittings allows you to combine flexible PE-X pipes ("PRINETO Flex-Rohr") with white rigid multi layered compound pipes ("PRINETO Stabil-Rohr"). With Prineto you have a wide range of pipe options for various applications - be it plumbing or heating connections, underfloor heating or compressed air pipes. PRINETO is the preferred option of plumbing and heating engineers. Its reliable sliding sleeve connection permits fast, accurate and problem free installation. The individual stages are practically child's play: Cut PE-X or rigid pipe to length with the PRINETO shears. Widen end with expanding tool. No burring or deformation possible. Fit pipe to moulding and allow to shrink. (memory-effekt) The pipe system can be aligned afterwards. Position sleeve with the appropriate tool. No checking of sealing rings - no marking of fitting depth necessary.

The History Of Bathrooms - How the bathroom has evolved over the years - History Channel HD A bathroom is a room for individual hygiene activities, generally including at minimum a toilet and also sink. A shower room could likewise contain a mirror, a tub or a shower, and also possibly additionally a bidet. In The united state and canada as well as a few other areas, it classically includes a minimum of a commode as well as a sink; thus in North American English the word "shower room" is frequently utilized to indicate any sort of space having a commode, also a public toilet (although in the United States this is a lot more typically called a bathroom). In various other nations, consisting of the UK, Australia, France and Japan, residences may have a separate commode area. In Iran mostly all homes have 2 unique areas for the bathroom and the toilet space. Washrooms usually have several towel bars or towel rings for putting up towels. Some shower rooms consist of a medicine closet for personal hygiene items and also medicines and drawers or shelves for keeping towels and other products. The very first records for using bathrooms go back as for 3000 B.C. Currently water had a solid spiritual worth, being seen as a detoxifying component for both body and soul, and so it was not unusual for individuals to be called for to cleanse themselves prior to entering a spiritual area. Baths are videotaped as part of a village or community life throughout this period, with a split in between sauna in Europe as well as America as well as cold bathrooms in Asia. Public bathrooms were erected in a definitely different location to the living quarters of the village. Baseding on Teresi et al. (2002): [1] The 3rd millennium B.C. was the "Age of Tidiness." Toilets as well as drain and sewers were developeded in a number of parts of the world, as well as Mohenjo-Daro circa 2800 B.C. had several of one of the most advanced, with lavatories built right into the external wall surfaces of houses. These were "Western-style" toilets made from bricks with wood seats ahead. They had vertical slides, where waste fell under street drains or cesspits. Sir Mortimer Wheeler, the supervisor general of archaeology in India from 1944 to 1948, created, "The first class of the sanitary plans could possibly well be coveted in several parts of the world today.". Almost all of the numerous houses excavated had their very own bath time rooms. Usually located on the ground floor, the bath was constructed from brick, occasionally with a surrounding aesthetic to sit on. The water receded via a gap in the floor, down slides or pottery pipelines in the walls, into the community water drainage system. Also the fastidious Egyptians rarely had unique restrooms.
