The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cast_iron_pipe Cast iron pipe is a pipe which has had historic use as a pressure pipe for transmission of water, gas and sewage, and as a water drainage pipe during the 19th and 20th centuries. It comprises predominantly a gray cast iron tube and was frequently used uncoated, although later coatings and linings reduced corrosion and improve hydraulics. Cast iron pipe was superseded by ductile iron pipe, which is a direct development, with most existing manufacturing plants transitioning to the new material during the 1970s and 1980s. Little cast iron pipe is currently manufactured... History Early Use The first use of cast iron pipe is not recorded. Cast iron tubes were first manufactured in the 14th century in Europe for cannon, however, it was not until 1455 in Siegerland that the first officially recorded cast iron water pipe was produced for use in Dillenburg Castle (since destroyed). The oldest extant water pipes date from the 17th century and were installed to distribute water throughout the gardens of the Chateau de Versailles. These amount to some 35 km of pipe, typically 1m lengths with flanged joints. The extreme age of these pipes make them of considerable historical value. Following extensive refurbishment in 2008 by Saint-Gobain PAM, 80% remain original. The flanged joints of cast-iron drainpipe were sealed with oakum and molten-lead joints... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ductile_iron_pipe Ductile iron pipe is a pipe made of ductile iron commonly used for potable water transmission and distribution. This type of pipe is a direct development of earlier cast iron pipe, which it has superseded. The ductile iron used to manufacture the pipe is characterized by the spheroidal or nodular nature of the graphite within the iron. Typically, the pipe is manufactured using centrifugal casting in metal or resin lined molds. Protective internal linings and external coatings are often applied to ductile iron pipes to inhibit corrosion: the standard internal lining is cement mortar and standard external coatings include bonded zinc, asphalt or water-based paint. In highly corrosive environments polyethylene encasement may also be used. Life expectancy of unprotected ductile iron pipes depends on the corrosiveness of soil present and tends to be shorter where soil is highly corrosive. However, a lifespan in excess of 100 years has been estimated for ductile iron pipelines installed using "evolved laying practices", including use of properly installed polyethylene encasement. Studies of ductile iron pipe's environmental impact have differing findings regarding emissions and energy consumed. Ductile iron pipe manufactured in the United States has been certified as a sustainable product by the Institute for Market Transformation to Sustainability...

In this video we run down the history of the Toilet and poop. Time for the real Game of Thrones... where we walk you through an invention you have probably used more than your iPhone, unless you also use your iPhone on it. How did people poop in ancient rome and medieval England, and where did it all go? The answers will disturb you. Don’t miss history, SUBSCRIBE ►http://bit.ly/1U0izNE Follow us on TWITTER ► http://www.twitter.com/laughhistory Like on FACEBOOK ► http://www.facebook.com/laughinghistorically --- ABOUT US: Join brothers Brandon and Nevin on their crazy trip through time as they dive into some of the weirdest (but true!) and most interesting bits of world history. Laughing Historically is a fun educational web show that’s teacher/classroom friendly and great for kids of all ages! --- Terms: Ancient Rome - a civilization that began on the Italian peninsula in 8th century BC, lasting until 476 AD. It expanded to be one of the largest empires in history. Medieval Ages - In European history lasted from the 5th to the 15th century beginning with the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and merged with the Renaissance. Toilet - a sanitation fixture used for the disposal of human urine and feces. Chamber Pots - a bowl shaped container, often with a lid, kept in the bedroom and used as a toilet at night. River Thames - a river that flows through southern England, including London. Elizabeth I of England - 1533-1603 - was Queen of England from 1558 until her death. Sometimes called The Virgin Queen or Good Queen Bess, was the final monarch of the Tudor dynasty. Daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn, her reign is known as The Elizabethan Era. --- SCRIPT: It is a truth universally acknowledged, that everybody In history pooped. In ancient times, the Romans built public underground sewer systems, which not only carried waste, but also drinking water, so It paid to be up stream. The romans used large, divider-free public restrooms - some with up to 50 toilets. Many people read prayers and protection spells to keep them safe from demons, rats biting their bums, or open flames that could flare up from methane pockets. In the middle ages, where you pooped largely depended on your class. Lower class people pooped in chamber pots - aka jerry, guzunder, a po, thunder pot… If you were really poor, a bucket. In medieval London it was illegal to empty these out the window (not that that stopped many people). Most people carried their full chamber pots to a nearby stream or river and emptied it there. Larger houses had attached latrines which drained into cess-pits which were emptied by men called “gongfermours” or “gong farmers.” who would then carry the waste to the streams and rivers. The Gong Farmers of London would end their shift bathing in the River Thames, which was probably only slightly cleaner than themselves - at least they were well-paid. For the top of the Pooping-ladder, Castles featured rooms called Garderobes, which had literally a seat with a hole to the outside cut into it. Poop would drop right into the castle moat. When the tide was low, it would pile up above the water until it was flushed away into the river. Which was also drinking water. The word garderobe is french for Wardrobe. People would hang their clothes in these rooms, as the fleas and moths didn’t like the smell. There was a job called “The Groom of the King’s Stool,” whose job was to wipe the king’s bum when he was finished pooping. Naturally, this was a job of honor and only princes or boys of royalty were allowed to do it. With all this poop being throw around, you can imagine the smell literally everywhere. If you can’t, think about this, Archaeologists have found medieval poop and it still stinks to this day. This past year they even found several 700 year old barrels unearthed in Denmark in the Werner’s Square. Boy, do we stink Brandon. Finally, in 1596, a man named John Harrington, who was actually an English poet, invented a flushing toilet for Queen Elizabeth the first. But it was so loud it scared her from using it. It did, however, become popular to call this new invention after it’s creator, John. By the 1850s over 400,000 tonnes of sewage were flushed into the River Thames each day - around 150 million tonnes of poo a year. Eventually, in the 1880’s, a man came along who invented the ballcock and many other patents, which helped silence the scary flushing toilet, leading to its widespread adoption… his name? Thomas Crapper. FUN FACT: The US Navy has developed a way to vaporize on their vessels. The technology has been installed on their newest aircraft carrier the Gerald Ford Aircarft Carrier because he was a real stinky President.

More information on Copper and Pex press crimp systems Copper Press-connect joining of copper and copper alloy tube is fast, economical, and, most importantly, it requires no heat or open flame unlike soldering or brazing. The press-connect joining method (sometimes called press-fit) was patented in Europe in the late 1950s and continues to be used successfully there. Press-connect joining takes advantage of copper's excellent malleability and its proven increased strength when cold worked. The joints rely on the sealing capability of a special fitting that contains an elastomeric gasket or o-ring seal and the proper use of pressing tools and jaws. Several manufacturers offer full product lines of press-connect fittings, valves and specialty items. Our tool will crimp all watermarked copper press systems sold in Australia. Kempress Viega BPress Press Plus and much more Pex PEX (or crosslinked polyethylene) is part of a water supply piping system that has several advantages over metal pipe (copper, iron, lead) or rigid plastic pipe (PVC, CPVC, ABS) systems. It is flexible, resistant to scale and chlorine, doesn't corrode or develop pinholes, is faster to install than metal or rigid plastic, and has fewer connections and fittings. PEX tubing is made from crosslinked HDPE (high density polyethylene) polymer. Our tool will crimp a variety of industry standard copper ring pex crimp systems. As an added bonus, the 16mm pex die will also crimp all 18mm Poly Bute (pb) water piping. So if you come across 18mm (1/2') Buteline or Profit in your work, you can also repair these. There is almost nothing this new tool cant do. Some systems our tool has been tested on Auspex Duopex Bush Crimp K1 K2 Profit18 Buteline18 and much more, contact us for a complete pex system compatibility chart.

From how to remove the old washing machine to installing the new one. Includes water pipe connections, drainage and electrics. Today I'm gonna show you how to change, remove, and put in a new washing machine just in case yours has decided to go mental like this one here that, when on a 1600 rpm spin, decided to completely rip itself from it's moorings and destroy this piece next to it which is the dishwasher and also the wall just there. So, let's have a look at how it's done and hopefully you'll be able to do it yourself at the end of the video. Let's go! Firstly, remove everything that's actually in the drum before you carry on. So when you're changing a washing machine, there's usually about four things you need to think about. Firstly, the electrics, the hot and cold feed if it does have a hot and a cold feed, a lot of them now just have a cold feed, and the waste. So what we need to do is pull out these units first and see what we've got behind there so we know that we've got all those components where we need them. And while we're here, you can actually see the extent of the damage that this drum has done to this particular washing machine. So if we have a look at the back of the washing machine, we can see, just here, this is the isolating valve, the cold supply to the washing machine so we turn that off, that goes up to there, and we see this flexible hose here that goes into the waste. So you pull that out and then we've got the electric wire here that goes under there so we turn that off and pull that out as well. So that's just switched off and you just undo this here. Alright so we've got the new washing machine here, remove all the packaging. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when it comes to actually removing the polystyrene and any of the packaging 'cause sometimes, and on the bottom you'll have like a polystyrene bit a housing that goes into the inside of the washing machine, make sure you take that out. If it's not there, obviously, big and large. Next thing you do is take off the carriage bolts at the back. The manufacturers always have different instructions for doing this but make sure you do it, always read the instructions. So that's the next thing we're gonna do now. On this one here, it's these but they're different on lots of different types of washing machines. So nice and easily remove those before you continue to the next step. Usually you remove the screw and the hole plug. Once you've taken the travel bolts out of the washing machine, come round the front and you'll usually find all the gubbins inside. On the inlet to the washing machine you'll find this small filter here. This can be removed and cleaned later on if you find that it ever gets clogged up so that's quite handy to know. This angled hose is for the cold water supply in. As you can see it's got a small rubber seal just round here and that just screws on on there just like that, nice and tight. If you want you can knit that up with a set of grips. Alright, the other end of that hose just screws in here and seals in exactly the same way. Now's a good time just to turn everything on and pressure test all your joints. Lovely. Right, next up, we've got the waste. Now the waste can have it's own little u-bend and you're can attach this to the wall so it's still got a drop, 'cause these do need a drop. It'll stops smell coming back and horrible stuff happening to your clothes. And then we'll just clip in nicely around here just like so, lovely. And then all you do is just feed that pipe down the down pipe of the waste. Now all you'd need to do is plug the washing machine in but don't switch it on just yet 'cause some washing machines, depending on what ground they're on, have little stabilising feet that you can adjust. Usually the two back feet stay at the same height and just move up and down, and the two front feet are the ones you actually adjust if you've got sort of an unlevel piece of ground. So now we've got it all pushed back into place and levelled off, what I often recommend is you put it on for a cycle without any washing in it and sometimes without detergent in it if you really feel that that's something you wanna do, just to give it a wash out before you actually put any of your own clothes in there. I hope you've found today's video helpful. I hope, you know, we've covered everything that you wanted us to cover. If you think there's something we've missed out, just let us know through our website, through Twitter, through Facebook, through the channel, anything, just give us love. I hope to see you all soon and I'll see you in next week's video. Hold tight! Plubmerparts.co.uk: honest reviews and advice.

It appears that the European “political elite” doesn’t want to listen to the real experiences and to the opinion of European people in the context of mass migration. It is Hungary and the Visegrad countries who speak on behalf of the European majority in all debates and decision-making procedures. It is important that European citizens should also raise their voices and support Hungary - adds Member of the European Parliament, Krisztina Morvai.
